Location

Discovery Helicopters is completely mobile and able to provide services to you anywhere in Canada. Our main base is in Atlin, British Columbia.

How to get here by road

To get to Atlin by road, you must drive through the Yukon and back into British Columbia.  Follow the Alaska Highway east from Whitehorse (or west from Watson Lake) to Jake’s Corner.

At Jake's Corner turn south along the Atlin/Carcross road. Drive 5 km to the Atlin turn-off and turn left (south).

Drive 100 km along the mostly paved road to get to Atlin.

When you arrive at the first stop sign in Atlin, which is at a T-junction, take a left then an immediate right.

Discovery Helicopters is on 6th Street, almost immediately across the T-junction, adjacent to the diesel generating station.

 

How to get here by air

If arriving by fixed wing, Discovery Helicopters has a 60' x 70' hangar at CYSQ. Hangar space may be available for aircraft with a wing-span of less than 45'.

If arriving by rotary wing, approach Discovery Helicopters main base from the south keeping in mind noise abatement procedures.
